Entries open for game-changing cleantech event
Entries are now open for Cleantech Innovate 2018, the annual showcase of the most game-changing, emerging low-carbon innovations from the UK and around the world.
36 of the most promising cleantech businesses seeking funding, partnerships, publicity or support in developing their ideas will be handpicked by a panel of expert judges to present their technologies to an audience of over 350 investors, active funders, corporates, support agencies and the media at the showcase event on 20th March 2018 in Mayfair, London.
The range of technologies on show will cover the full gamut of the low-carbon economy, including biotechnology, renewable energy, low-carbon transport, waste, and energy efficiency.
Global investment in low-carbon technologies is continuing to rise at an unprecedented rate against a backdrop of governments, businesses, and individuals seeking to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and the cost of such technologies falling as investment has increased.
The launch of Cleantech Innovate 2018, now in its sixth year, includes a new website for the event that features a new Knowledge Hub, offering the latest news and market information on low-carbon innovations around the world and tips for companies seeking investment.
Charlotte Morton, Chief Executive of We Are Orchard Ltd, who are organising the event, said:
“Cleantech products and services are essential to the development of a green economy, and investment in innovation is key to delivering these. This is a dynamic sector and a key source of employment across Europe and beyond, with much of the growth in low-carbon innovation coming from SMEs. These companies, who will underpin the transition to a zero-carbon world, need support to accelerate their path to commercialisation.
“Cleantech Innovate 2018 is a statement of intent that will showcase the most ground-breaking technologies that will have a scalable impact on our planet. This event will allow the developers of these technologies to connect with a wide range of investors to take their innovations to the next level.”
